From 40 Days For Life: DAY 20: All glory and honor to God!

Every Monday morning … we stand in amazement at what God has done in the previous week.
Regular everyday people just like you step out of their comfort zones and put their trust in God – and boy, does He respond!
In answer to your prayers … we have learned that so far this 40 Days for Life campaign …
188 babies (and their moms) have been spared from abortion!
God is good … and we thank Him for all He has done!

El Paso, Texas

One thing you can say about 40 Days for Life prayer volunteers is that they never give up hope – even when hope seems lost.
More and more women are being sold "medical" abortions – the RU-486 pill. Actually … it's two pills. One is taken right away and the other is consumed later.
A mother in El Paso took that first pill – then regretted her decision and wanted to change her mind.
If you haven't heard about this, it IS possible – there's a website called AbortionPillReversal.com that explains. This young woman contacted a local physician in El Paso who might be able to help.
Several days later – she had not taken the second pill to complete the abortion – she went for an ultrasound. This was a crucial time. Frankly, the reversal process is not always successful.
But in this case, she heard her baby's very strong heartbeat.
This is encouraging … but the volunteers also say it's very important to keep this mom and her baby in prayer during this critical time.
"Praise God for His grace, for our volunteers, for our pregnancy help centers, and for the local doctors who specialize in this amazing reversal procedure!" said one of the local 40 Days for Life leaders.

Birmingham, England

"Four saves so far," said Isabel, the local 40 Days for Life leader in Birmingham. "One mother in particular said she was so happy she had decided to do the right thing."
In another instance, a Birmingham volunteer wrote that while she was praying outside the abortion center, a teenage girl who was about to enter stopped to talk. Following their discussion, the girl agreed to visit a pregnancy care center instead.
"No one else knows I'm pregnant and I didn't know what to do,” she said. "All day yesterday, I was walking around town by myself praying that God would give me a sign if He wanted me to keep my baby, but there was no sign."
Without the sign she was seeking, she decided to keep her abortion appointment. "But as I came to the entrance … I saw that lady holding a cross and I knew that was my sign to keep my baby."
This story is even more miraculous when you consider that this young woman -- who was inspired by the Cross -- was not a Christian.

Isaac prayed to the Lord for his wife because she was barren; and the Lord granted his prayer and Rebekah his wife conceived. The children struggled together within her, and she said, "If it is thus, why do I live?" So she went to inquire of the Lord. And the Lord said to her, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples, born of you, shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the elder shall serve the younger."
— Genesis 25:21-23
O, God, you formed us in our mother's womb and planned a unique and special life and purpose for each of us, and we do thank you. Grant that we may pray and work for an end to abortion, especially in these 40 days, so that no unborn baby you have made may fail to achieve your divine intention for him or her because of intentional abortion.
